Community Guidelines
The Locker Room exists so the next generation of athletes can make the most informed decision of their career. Here's how to keep it useful, honest, and safe.
DO
- Speak from experience. Describe what actually happened to you or what you actually observed.
- Be specific and constructive. "Strength program prioritizes Olympic lifts over hypertrophy" beats "lifting is bad."
- Focus on the program, not the people. Talk about coaching style, communication patterns, expectations — not individual coaches or teammates.
- Tell recruits what you wish you'd known. That's the single most valuable thing you can offer.
- Be fair. Acknowledge what the program does well, even if your overall experience was mixed.
DON'T
- No names. Don't name coaches, players, staff, families, donors, or any individual.
- No identifiers. No jersey numbers, recruiting class + position combinations, nicknames, or anything that points to one specific person.
- No defamation. Don't make criminal, sexual, or abusive accusations about specific people. If a crime has occurred, report it to law enforcement and Title IX — not here.
- No slurs, profanity, or threats. Hard line — instant removal.
- No private contact info. No phone numbers, emails, addresses, or social handles.
- No spam, no advertising, no fake reviews.
- No retaliation. Don't post to settle a personal score with one teammate or coach.
What we do with reviews
- Every review is scanned by automated profanity and harassment filters and an AI moderator before it goes live.
- Anything that's flagged or reported by enough users is automatically hidden pending human review.
- We display aggregate ratings and the most recent advice quotes — we do not amplify long emotional rants.
- Repeat offenders are banned.
Reporting
Every review and post has a "Report" button. Use it for personal attacks, harassment, false information, privacy violations, spam, or anything else. After 3 open reports a post is automatically hidden.
